August 29, 2019, Physical Logic ‒ a leader in high-precision open and closed-loop MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical System) accelerometers for the security, defense, energy, industrial, and healthcare markets ‒ introduces its next-generation inertial grade closed loop MEMS accelerometers, the MAXL-CL-3000 Family, at DSEI. Physical Logic is the first company in the world to market a closed-loop Micro-Electro-Mechanical System (MEMS) accelerometer that rivals very high precision electromechanical quartz accelerometers. These accelerometers provide highly accurate measurements at a lower cost as well as reduced weight and size.
North finding and inertial navigation applications are enabled by a major improvement in warmup performance that achieves time-to-full-performance in less than 2 seconds, with typical bias drifts of < 30 µg during the first 5 hours of operation. In addition, a wide range of aerial missions can be integrated due to a reduction in noise specification limits to 30µg/√Hz.
